I'M A HA HA MAKER!

First off, I created a sketch comedy CD with my friend Dan Hirshon. It's called Lampshades & Ottomans and is available for listening and purchase at CD Baby. Check it out!

Second off, I live in New York City and host a show on the first Saturday of every month at The P.I.T. with comedian Myq Kaplan. It's called the Micah Myq Club and we have stand-up comedy, songs, sketches and a whole bowlful of fun!

To find out more about my other upcoming live performances, take a look at my schedule.

Third off, I performed this summer at the Great American Comedy Festival after auditioning for Eddie Brill (the booker of the Late Show with David Letterman) at the Comedy Studio in Boston. You can see the set that got me there in my video section!

Other stand-up accomplishments include the Boston Comedy Festival and hosting the Alternative Comedy Festival with Myq (we're good friends).

Here's how I became a comedian:

I started performing improv in high school with the Chapel Hill High School Improv Company. While I was in college at the University of Georgia I started my own improv group and also began performing stand-up in downtown Athens and Atlanta.

After graduating college, I moved to Chicago to study improvisation at I.O., Second City and the Annoyance. In Chicago I performed improv regularly at I.O. with Harold team Sturgis and at the Playground with four-man improv group, Chuckle Sandwich. Chuckle Sandwich went on to perform all across North America at the Toronto and San Francisco Improv Festivals, the DC Comedy Fest and the Del Close Marathon.

While in Chicago I performed sketch comedy with a group called Heavyweight (we also went by Heavyweight Champion of the Car and Persimmony Whispers) at the Chicago SketchFest and Second City Unhinged.

In 2005, I was hired by Improv Asylum in Boston to perform improv and sketch comedy on their mainstage. After performing there for a little over a year, I moved on to perform stand-up througout New England and started the Micah Myq Club with Myq Kaplan at the Comedy Studio.

In 2008, I moved to New York City. Please go to the top of this page and pick it up from there.
